Dear Newsletter Reader,
I would like to tell you a little bit about my life with the wish that you may profit from what I tell you.
The evening before last I had the first computer course in my life. I have bought new software to begin working seriously in 3D. The course took a little over three hours. I was the only pupil. We took no breaks, simply went through the software as quickly as we could. My teacher is an expert in the 3D software program I now use, Cinema 4D. He teaches in the Department of Architecture and Space Development at a well-known technical university. My teacher was a little surprised at my way of doing things. I never used the notebook and pen he provided me at my workstation in the learning center. The reason is simple: I never write anything down. I don’t need to. In the three hours course took, we went through hundreds of technical steps and possibilities for using the software to create the kind of images I need. The next morning, I was not only able to remember everything but also to use the information to make my first images with the software. Here are my first two images.

I was not always this way. In my days as a student I did use a pen and wrote many things down. I took notes in the many lectures I attended and used these notes to study for exams. Today, I would not dream of doing such a thing. Knowledge is instant and recall total. It does appear that I have gone through a few changes in the last decades.
Many of the changes have been physical. In my 30’s I had an exceptionally active life as a mountain climber and ski mountaineer. Most of my weekends were spent in the mountains, no matter how the weather was. I also made a point of taking part in several expeditions into other mountain ranges per year. During the week I trained. While working on my doctorate in Seattle, on the western coast of the U.S., I was in the habit of running 20 kilometers before breakfast two to three times a week in order to keep in shape. Several afternoons a week I practiced at the university’s climbing rock to hone my skills.
I haven't trained in this manner for many years. It seems that I no longer need to train. This year has not been much of a cycling season so far. In central Europe we had a few weeks of sunny and hot weather earlier this month. Otherwise, it was cold and raining. I have spent a lot of time taking photos, writing and teaching. A few weeks ago, my wife and I decided to go for a ride on our racing bicycles. We ended up in Vaduz, the capital of Liechtenstein, where we spent the night. While we had no conscious plan to ride as far as Liechtenstein, the day simply progressed, as did our desire to continue our journey. The next day we rode back home over the mountains to Lake Zurich.
It is not that I wish to boast to you in any way. On the contrary, it is my desire to show you that your life can change demonstrably, if you wish. You may find it appropriate to join me on the summit of the Säntis next month for massive consciousness change. It will change your life.
There are no true barriers in our universe. Anything is possible. You simply need to be willing to allow change to occur.
With warm regards,
Andrew Terker
