Reality vs. Fiction

Dear Newsletter Reader,
Much of what humanity experiences these days appears more like a science-fiction film than reality. The Secretary General of the United Nations has characterized the flooding in Pakistan as one of the greatest catastrophes ever to hit humanity. He has called it a “tidal wave in slow motion” and stated that the earthquake in Haiti was small in its effect in comparison.
You may remember the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico and may be at least be marginally aware this was only one of many spills in recent history. This only difference between this spill and the others is that this one reached the coast of the United States and caused great damage there. The United States is a very powerful county. The other countries that have experienced spills such as Nigeria are not powerful, and almost no one in the Western world cares about them.
Why do I spend so much time writing about catastrophes and human misery? Shouldn’t a man who is supposed to be interested in spirituality and who has been a teacher of others for most of his life be optimistic and present others with a positive attitude toward their lives, so that they feel better?
Most people who have come to me in seminars have wanted exactly that. They have professed to want change but were rarely interested in reality.
I have an exceptionally positive attitude toward life. I love my life much more than I suspect most other humans love theirs. But I am also far much more realistic than most of the humans I know. I refuse to accept the lack of awareness that most of my fellow human beings choose as their life style.
Lack of awareness will not contribute to a better future for humanity. It will make such a future nearly impossible.
I walk around our planet and experience a humanity disconnected to itself. Why do I have such a positive attitude?
The answer is really quite simple. I know that someone is about to turn the lights on!
How do I know that? Isn't it just an opinion, as some of my mild critics will state?
I am very different from other humans here. I do not have many opinions. I have knowledge. I know that other humans cannot understand that. For, what I mean by that is not the kind of knowledge you can have from books. I do not read books very often, except to look at the pictures.
I do occasionally read a passage from the Bible ever since I was given a very valuable Luther Bible from 1721 for my birthday. Why do I read a passage once in a while? Frankly, only because I enjoy it. I do not like modern Bibles. If I read a Luther Bible, I want get as close to Martin Luther as I can.
The kind of knowledge I have is inside me. One day, quite a number of years ago a group of beings opened me so massively that the knowledge was simply there. The only thing that has changed since then is that I have much more access to the knowledge and I have learned to trust it much more.
What I have right now is the future of humanity. I simply know this. The walls of our consciousness are disappearing, and we are going to become rapidly conscious where we have not been.
It can be a pleasant journey, but it is not that for many people. 20 million of our fellow human beings are not find the journey very pleasant in Pakistan right now. Your day today is not going to be truly better, if you ignore your fellow humans.
This morning I went for a very long swim in the lake in the sunshine. My swim was not any worse or less pleasant because part of my awareness was focused on those suffering from waters right now.
In the spiritual world we call this kind of awareness surrender. There is a very big different between surrendering and commiserating. If I commiserated with those suffering in Pakistan, I would have a very bad day and would try to make myself at least a little bit as miserable as they are. I do not help them or anyone else by commiserating. Surrendering is quite different. Others feel better when you surrender to them. It changes the world around you in a very positive fashion.
Surrender is the opposite of blocking out and judging. You might try it. It could make your life very positive and make it work. Right now, a number of very powerful cosmic beings are surrendering to the walls of your ego. You might as well learn how to enjoy the ride, because whether or not you want the walls to disappear, they are doing so.
Just one other point: It has been taking more time than we originally planned to get our internet shop the way we want it. For that reason we have decided to offer several of my pictures in very high resolution via free download until the shop is complete. We plan to change the offerings weekly. You may click on this link to access the pictures directly. I hope you enjoy them. Your enjoyment of them is also my enjoyment.
