the struggle of life versus the soul

Do you know how a car battery works? Lead plates are submerged into an electrolyte solution made of sulfuric acid and water. A chemical reaction in the electrolyte solution releases electrons, which then flow through the conductors to produce electricity.

There is exceptional analogy between the way an automotive battery works and the source of energy human beings normally use in their life. For, most human beings use strife (fighting) as the most basic energy source in life. We can call this strife the struggle of life.

What is the struggle of life? The basis of the economic world is competition. Everybody fights against everyone else. You fight for a job. When you’ve got the job, you fight your colleagues for a promotion or to keep the job, if there are to be lay-offs. Of course, the company you work for fights the competition to survive.

Survival of the fittest?

Nations do it. They fight against each other: for resources, for riches, for land, and for power. Politicians do it. They fight each other to gain office and to remain in office. Who is more popular? Who is more powerful? Who has more charisma? Who can gather the greatest wealth and get away with it?

Bankers do it. They smash the competition. Who gets the greatest bonus before the first heart attack hits?

Married couples do it. They fight each other as a basic course of life. People consider it normal to fight. What they do not realize is that they are using the fighting as their life source.

It doesn’t work. Married couples get divorces when they do this. People involved in the struggle of life get ill and die.

Automotive batteries have a limited life span. They corrode, or they die from sulfation, which occurs when they remain discharged for a long time.

The human “battery” called the struggle of life also has a limited life span. The struggle of life is not healthy, for it always ends in death, often an early death with symptoms painfully similar to corrosion or sulfation.

There is an alternative to the struggle of life. It is called the soul.

The soul does not struggle. It does not need to. For, it has a very different energy source. This energy source is called God. This source is endless energy, energy that knows no equivalent of corrosion or sulfation.

You may wish to turn to this source of energy, for it is far better than the struggle of life.

But, there are a few “tricks” to finding the soul. One is that you are going to have to give up your life story to get there. Your life story contains all of your attachments to who you think you are.

Your life story is not who you are. It is only who you think you are. No one is ever truly his or her life story. The soul has no life story. It is simply massive energy that is waiting in the background for you.

People who find the soul find it generally through massive life change. Almost all life change occurs through new situations that we rarely want. Relationships fall apart. People lose their jobs. Close ones die. People are suddenly on the street with no place to go.

No one’s life truly ends from one or more of these circumstances. The only thing that ends is one’s life story up to this point. When your life is falling apart, it is time to begin searching for something entirely new.

The best thing you can search for is your soul. For, uniting with it is the only true thing you can do to turn your life around. With the energy of your soul in your body you can turn your life around. But, you are going to have to turn your life around yourself. No one can do this for you. The only thing someone else can do for you is help you find your soul.

We are in a time when more and more is falling apart for an ever-increasing number of people. If you are reading this text, the likelihood is very high that something is either falling apart for you or has already fallen apart.

If you are in this situation, it will help you greatly to begin to see change as a challenge and not as a threat.  When you are in the situation, it is often very difficult to see change as a challenge, for your life story is very threatened.

If you feel you are now at the bottom, it is almost impossible to get out from the situation you are in alone. Get help from someone who has been there, not from someone who is still struggling with his or her life story.
